Film Slam Festival

I have been told that sometime in the 80s they colorized Psycho. There seems to be a picture from it on the wikipedia page for film colorization.

I am curious to see this version of the movie, yet i have never been qualified to find a

Ted Turner colorized a number of old movies that he owned the rights for to be shown on his telegram stations, like TBS. I would bet that he did it. You might check out his site or see if they are showing on his station.

Buy Your Homicidal VHS From Amazon!

Do you remember shrieking with horror and giggling with delight at William Castle’s old abominable and white spook-fests? Well, here’s one of his most excellently: Homicidal, a drama that borrows freely from Hitchcock’s Psycho.

The story opens as a strange blonde woman pays a stranger to marry her and promptly stabs the man who performs the ceremony. Back in the sleepy town of Solvang, California, we meet a peculiar young man named Warren, who has returned to his old home with this mysterious blonde. Warren is about to inherit a fortune on his twenty-first birthday, but strange things start happening – and what secrets are hidden in the dark, old house?

This movie is short on solid violence, but long on creepy feel and things that go take for a ride in the night. The actors are all good, but the real star is director Castle, who creates a very scary mystery with so much tension you’ll be on the edge of your seat. In true Castle-style, there is a gimmick in this movie: Just before the final scene, a clock appears on screen to set apart those too frightened to watch the end to leave the theatre – and sit in the Coward’s Corner cubicle in the lobby. It’s all in good fun and not to be taken seriously; you’ll be spooked by the thrills and chuckling as soon as it’s over. A fun movie!

Style Profile: Po Johnson of La La's Full Court Life

Most know Po Johnson as La La Vazquez-Anthony’s spunky overcome friend on the VH1 show La La’s Full Court Life. But these days Po is striking out on her own and launching a music career. Her lyrics come to life in her first single, “Super Kinda Psycho Sexy Love” (currently nearby on iTunes), a pop/rock infused track that gives a good feel for Po’s spirited personality. Read on to learn more about the up-and-coming singer.

BET: What made you want to go from doing reality TV to launching a music career?

Po:
Music is something I’ve always wanted to do, writing is something that I wanted to do. I started writing when I was, like, four because I used to have a bad stuttering problem…because of that I never really spoke to anybody. I would write on the wall in my bedroom and my mom would let me do that because she saw it as me expressing myself.

I spent a lot of my life structure up the courage to be who I am and exactly

Miami Blues (1990)

I saw an older DVD release of the original A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge from a boxset of the origninal franchise. The movie has a lot of homoerotica in it from what I've read online and observed. The scene where Jesse's gym pants were

Worst horror movie remakes ever
Well someone forgot to inform Gus Van Sant who in 1998 made not so much a remake of Psycho but a shot by shot and scene by scene duplicate. The only difference is in Sant's version the performances are laughably poor, it's gratuitously gory,
