Q: I'm planning to purchase the textbook "Psychology: Themes and Variations" by Weiten. My lecturer has suggested for us to purchase the latest edition (8th), but I'm wondering if it's possible to get by with an earlier edition? I'm considering

Where can I find a companion site to "Psychology Themes And Variations" 5th edition? ?

There is a website on the back of the reserve where supposedly I can find extra study information on this textbook, but I can't find it. Does anybody know where I can find some practice questions and chapter reviews?

Red. Energy, a sense of urgency, passion, desire, love, madden, violence, and danger. Love and vex seem to contradict each other here. This is where context becomes important. If you think about red in the context of Valentine’s Day, you probably aren’t thinking about ire. Likewise, if you think about red in the context of war, you probably aren’t associating it with love. Red is also the color of stoplights and stop signs, indicating a potential danger. Because of this, red is sometimes indirectly associated with stopping. Another interesting fact about the color red is that it can physically increase heart rates, respiration, and metabolism. If you’ve ever felt fretful shopping in a Target, this could be the reason why.

Orange. Joy, onslaught, change, and calls to action. Orange falls somewhere between red and yellow on the emotional spectrum. It is stronger than yellow but friendlier than red. Darker shades of orange can also be associated with the autumn season and the earth.
