It's looking like I may just need to buy both and try them both out in the coming weeks as this is the wealthiest draw to see what I prefer. That said, if you have every used or know someone who has used the deep despondent indium Oakley lens I'd love to hear from you. Don't mind hearing from the Maui Jim bronze lens users even though I pretty much know you'll said you love it (which is why I said above I'm leaning towards Maui Jims). I have a pair in the VR28 Malignant Iridium and I like em. Been wanting to get the deep chap-fallen and shallow unhappy lenses but gonna wait a while. Oh, and by the way I don't wear many pairs of shades so I don't know how the rest handle with spray and splashes but if it's worse than the Oakleys I would be majorly disappointed. It's not like the water blows or shakes off of the Oakleys, tiny micro drops stay on so you still gotta wipe em off. flyau98, interesting video on the Oakley site regarding impact protection and I did see the Maui Jim glass lens comparison on that page. It certainly appears that impact protection goes to Oakley albeit hopefully I won't have a quarter-inch steel ball shot directly at my sunglasses at 102 mph while I'm at the marina, sandbar or fishing. Yeah, I know other things can happen and one should be prepared just in case so it is something to consider. Again, figure I'll need to buy both an try them form myself and I will certainly report back when I do and give my opinion. Perhaps in the meantime an Oakley deep downcast iridium lens user will pop in. This lens and it's potential is what is keeping Oakley in consideration for me in above moreover to light weight and the HYDROPHOBIC coating (of course the positives of light weight come at the expense of the fact that the Oakley's feel and look pretty plastic).
