I use a few pair of glasses made just for golf. Peak Vision glasses are excellent. So are RoXor glasses as are the glasses from The Rudy Project. All of these golf glasses are made to help you read the greens. The lens are desighed just for this and they all work very well, just as advertised. Of the three, I"d say the Peak Vision are my "Least favorite", only because of the fact that the tips of the ear pieces touch the lens when you fold them and they stratch the inside of the lens, making it hard to see without a small blurry spot in front of your eyes. For a pair of glasses that sell for $170, this is not good. My normal, everyday glasses that have Transitions lenses but if I wear contacts, I use my Maxx sunglasses ($20/pair). Designed mostly for motorcycle riding, they work great keeping any wind out of my eyes so I can focus on ball flight, locating the ball on the ground & if I have an issue reading the green, I just take them off long enough to read the gree...

Heroin and cocaine detain: Bail was set at $400,000 Friday for Christopher S. Wallace, of the 1300 stumbling-block of Corley Drive, Elgin. He was charged with eight counts relating to the manufacture, possession and delivery of cocaine and heroin following his apprehend Thursday in Carpentersville. According to Carpentersville police Cmdr. Tim Bosshart, Wallace was arrested following an undercover sting operation. Wallace faces three Class X counts of possession or delivery of cocaine and possession or delivery of heroin — one for possession of between 15 and 100 grams of heroin and two counts for delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of Lakewood School — and Class 1 felony counts of possession, manufacture or delivery of cocaine and heroin, according to Bosshart. Wallace is to play in court Jan. 9 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

No child restraint: A 22-year-old Elgin woman was arrested after a traffic stop on Friday at Chicago and Crescent streets. According to police, Beatriz Garcia-Ordenonez of Van Street was pulled over about 9 a.m. for speeding, and police saw she had a child about 2 years old unrestrained in the back seat of the car. She was charged with speeding, having no valid driver’s license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and not properly restraining a child.
