A: There's a company called Calcutta that makes polarized glasses aimed just for fisherman. They also make braided line and a few other things. They're convenient almost anywhere including Walmart. Prices range from $10 to $30. I've owned quite a few
Fishing sunglasses often make the difference between caught fish and lost fish. With the naked eye the water glare drastically reduces visibility: you won’t see the underwater structures or the fish. Moreover, without fishing sunglasses it will become almost impossible to watch the water surface; besides the risk of crystalline and retina injury, that are severe forms of eye damage, intense light normally gives eye weariness and headaches. Fishing sunglasses provide the glare elimination and good blockage of the harmful ultraviolet rays. Many fishermen prefer buying sunglasses for all weather conditions so that visibility remains great no matter the fishing whereabouts. The materials that the lenses are made of could however influence the choice of the right fishing sunglasses.
Good durability and perfect visual acuity are provided by glass lenses, yet, they are criticized for being too heavy and breakable. The most popular lens choice is polycarbonate that makes the fishing sunglasses lightweight and resistant to impact, although rather prone to scratch if compared to glass resistance. A good word of guidance here is to escape fishing sunglasses with acrylic lenses because they can cause viewing distortions despite their anti-glare properties. As for lens color, fishing sunglasses are ready in copper, brown, amber and gray.
