Chaparral Elementary School’s Educational Foundation will be hosting its second annual “Ladies Night Out” on Friday, Oct. 14.
The event, a night of pampering and a chance to bid on auction items, will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, 17550 Bernardo Oaks Drive.
Proceeds will go toward construction a new computer lab for Chaparral students.
A silent auction is expected to have 150 auction packages and goodie-filled baskets donated by the community and parents.
Some of the unique items, according to organizer and foundation member Rebecca Cole, will be behind-the-scenes tours with two dads, one who works at Stone Brewing Company and the other with FA/18 jets at MCAS Miramar.
Other Chaparral family-owned businesses are donating: a “Painter for the Day” certificate worth $450 from Colossus Painting; auto services from Secor Automotive; designer sunglasses by Scripps Ranch and 4S Ranch Eyecare; and designer jewelry by Jody Rosano Jewelry.

Sunglasses are vital and sunscreen is essential. •Make noticeable refillable water bottles. Although cocktails might be on the agenda, drinking plenty of water is a must to stay hydrated. •Carry cash with you in a secure and safe place.
