Fret not, Santana fans. Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana is still cognizant of.

In fact, the 64-year-old "Evil Ways" musician even did an interview Thursday with ABC7 about plans to visit his alma mater, Mission High School in San Francisco, on Monday.

But the Internet appeared to be confused that same day when Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi was captured and killed by revolutionary fighters. Some had previously remarked that Gadhafi resembled Santana, and when the news spread, photos of Gadhafi with "R.I.P. Carlos Santana" written on them had gone viral.

According to L.A. Late , there were roughly ten posts per minute on Twitter on Thursday night saying Gadhafi and Santana looked similar. Both men are in their 60's, have dark hair, are often photographed with a mustache, and frequently look in public wearing sunglasses.

The confusion grew, and many users mourned the loss of the 10-time Grammy-winning guitarist. But Santana is not dead. He released his 21st studio album, "Guitar Heaven," in September 2010 and L.A. Late even points out that he recently wedded, marrying Cindy Blackman in January.
